Simple Whimsical Witches Headband

Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!! It's just around the corner! Did I mention that I love Halloween? With that being said I am doing my first DIY 2014 Halloween project. 

So have fun with it. The skies the limit!

Materials you’ll need

Witches hat

Headband or hair clip

Flowers

Halloween ribbon

Glue Gun

Glue sticks

Halloween Owl 

Scissors
Embellishments

Begin by measuring the ribbon around the witches hat and cut what you need. Hot glue one end of the edge of the ribbon and stick it to the witches hat. Wrap ribbon around the base and hot glue the opposite end to the hat.

Secondly, begin to apply hot glue to the back of your flowers and glue it directly on to the witches hat.

Next step is to glue on your Halloween owl. Make sure there is enough glue on it.

Final step is to add the head band or hair clip. Add hot glue on directly to the hat. Not on the headband. Place it any where on the headband and wa-lah!

It's turtle power!!! 

I had the honor of seeing this amazing movie before it comes out on August 8th. I grew up watching the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. What? So I was a little bit of a tom boy growing up. LOL. Anyways, I was a bit nervous about how they would portray The TNMT in movie form. But WOW! Talk about a great movie! There was so much action, laughter, and really great graphics! Oh not to mention the music they used in the movie! I loved it.

It was so refreshing to be able to see a movie where the ENITIRE family can sit and watch and have a great time. No vulgarity, and no "shut your eyes baby because you can't watch this part". No naughty parts and the movie was entertaining.

On the Crafty Chica Cruise, every year on the last night, we hold a Mercado Night. This is where all the cruisers get together and sell their one of a kind goodies. Everything there is pretty much to die for! 

My friend, Lisa from Terra Maya, made these great oil cloth totes! ine of the best bags ever that i have owned. I have my laptop, real estate books, a small purse, my bag of beauty and other little treasures of mine, all in it! The bag is extra sturdy. This would be great as a diaper bag or carry on!

When I was on the Crafty Chica Cruise last month, Kathy couldn't stop talking about all the bands she saw in Miami a few weeks before. Locos pro Juana was one of her favorites because we wouldn't stop ranting and raving about them Lol. However when she played them on her iPhone, we all knew why! They are a group from Columbia that play reggae en español-meets region. Think of them as expresso for your ears. They will get you up on your feet and moving. Check out this video of them:
 

The end really is the beginning!!

Most of you already know about the break up of my marriage. Last May was the most difficult month of my life. But what I hadn't realized back then was that the end was only the beginning. The beginning  of a great new life filled with wonderful new opportunities!

As I take a close look, I realize how far I've come since May. I have accomplished so much in the last 11 months. Its unbelievable. I believe in myself! I am learning to love myself. I have learned and done things I never thought I'd be able to do. Its such a great feeling! The end of my marriage was not the end of my life. Nor was it a failure. It was only the beginning! The beginning of a better life. A happier life.

With that said, tomorrow and Friday are my divorce court dates. I am sooo clueless. I should of actually posted this a lot sooner. But any advise from my divorcee friends? What to say, what not to say, what to expect etc... ???
